hi ya warren...

i have scsi3 based raid5 with 6 drives in 1U chassis running..

fans/cooling is not as much of an issue....now days they have a 
better powersupply too 220W instead of the 150 that i was using

the scsi are better cause it power cycles itself in sequence
so the 0.5A draw at 12v is not as bad....as on ide with 6drive * 0.5A each

tweeking the ide drives/systems to run at ata-100 speeds is another "fun
project"??

have fun raiding...
