[skip to the end for syslog snippet, full dmesg and lspci -v -v -v output & .config] Hi, I'm fighting my PPro200 desktop to get it to support the USB pci card I just bought. At first the entire computer became instable but choosing CMD640 chipset support solved that problem. But now I find that I can list photos in my digital camera, but not retrieve them. I get lots of errors like these: 02:59:01 usbdevfs: USBDEVFS_BULK failed dev 2 ep 0x81 len 3247 ret -75 03:31:39 usbdevfs: USBDEVFS_BULK failed dev 2 ep 0x81 len 84 ret -75 03:31:39 usbdevfs: USBDEVFS_BULK failed dev 2 ep 0x81 len 84 ret -75 I also noted a change in the output from lspci. Directly after booting, it says this: 00:0f.0 USB Controller: CMD Technology Inc USB0670 (rev 06) (prog-if 10 [OHCI]) Subsystem: CMD Technology Inc: Unknown device 0670 Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Ste Status: Cap+ 66Mhz- UDF- FastB2B- ParErr- DEVSEL=medium >TAbort- <TAbor Latency: 2 min, 4 max, 32 set Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 11 Region 0: Memory at e0810000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4K] Capabilities: [40] Power Management version 2 Flags: PMEClk- AuxPwr- DSI- D1+ D2+ PME- Status: D0 PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=0 PME- However, after the aforementioned USB error, which always happens, the Latency line (and only that) changes to 2 min, 4 max, 0 set. I'm no PC hardware guru, but I would not be surprised if that caused timeouts, which correspond to the -75 mentioned above. My question is, is this right, and can I do anything about this? Thanks for your attention! syslog snippet: Dec 16 03:46:32 hubert kernel: usb.c: registered new driver usbdevfs Dec 16 03:46:32 hubert kernel: usb.c: registered new driver hub Dec 16 03:46:33 hubert kernel: usb-ohci.c: USB OHCI at membase 0xc882a000, IRQ 11 Dec 16 03:46:33 hubert kernel: usb-ohci.c: usb-00:0f.0, CMD Technology Inc USB0670 Dec 16 03:46:33 hubert kernel: usb.c: new USB bus registered, assigned bus number 1 Dec 16 03:46:33 hubert kernel: Product: USB OHCI Root Hub Dec 16 03:46:33 hubert kernel: SerialNumber: c882a000 Dec 16 03:46:33 hubert kernel: hub.c: USB hub found Dec 16 03:46:33 hubert kernel: hub.c: 2 ports detected Dec 16 03:46:43 hubert kernel: hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/2, assigned device number 2 Dec 16 03:46:43 hubert kernel: Manufacturer: Canon Inc.
