For busted hardware, you need a lab full of hardware tools.  For
busted drivers, KDB is fine.  It's not perfect.. doesn't handle
prologue scheduling done by modern gcc for example.  (and if your
debugger does, I fully intend to examine/steal your method, ok?:)
