Clearing of Ram?

Hi all

When I'm in user mode and malloc ram this portion of ram is cleared (zeroed)
or?
i think it is!

My question is
 who cleared it   the kernel or the malloc function in glibc??
 (i found some code in glibc but nothing in kernel)
