Some AGP/PCI video cards come with an RCA socket that can be used to connect
to a TV using a coaxial cable. I have a SiS6326 card that has this facility
and I do use my TV quite often for watching VCDs playing on my comp. However
the resolution and clarity you can get with a TV monitor will be poor
compared to a computer monitor.....this is not a significant problem when
watching movies though...only problem is that you can read text clearly when
using TV as the monitor. However I have not been able to run X-windows using
my TV as the monitor. Under windows95 I have had no problems. SiS6326 is the
cheapest AGP card available and you might want to go in for a better one.
