Is this a 'winmodem'? Why don't you check one of these websites....I forget the URL...the link is available at www.tux.org if I am right....it has a huge table listing modems configurable in Linux. If yours is a winmodem then forget about Linux. I am still cursing myself for buying an internal modem few months back. As far as I know only internal modems based on 'Rockwell" chips are supported under Linux. That is because the company made Linux drivers available. Most other companies won't probably even bother.
