Hi,

We've been trying to use rsync between 2 linux machines. Currently we are
trying to use rsync without using rsync server at all. We are using rsh as
the transport under rsync.

rsync works quite nicely when both the machines are within the same server
farm. We tested it across machines which were lying within the same LAN in
US.
Now when we try to do rsync with one machine in India and one in US it gives
2 messages
cmd successful
read+AF8-timeout(). Files not copied (or something like that) +ACEAIQ-

We tried increasing the timeout period using --timeout option. It doesn't
seem to help. I think the timeout is only for login and not for reading the
files.

Can somebody tell me how to get around this problem.

Thanks,

Murali
