There had been qutie a few postings regarding new Netscape 6.0 on
this list. Out of curiousity, I downloaded and installed. My experience
that it is not a `lean -mean version' as it was advertised. Compared to
4.6 which was installed alongwith RedHat 6.1 on my Pentium 133 MHz and 64
Mb RAM m/c, NS 6.0 is very slow to launch. Though it starts off with
options to configure, it takes lot of time to display the stuff. I hope
that the final version will be better (this is still pre-release). The
only `lean' stuff is about the gzip file which one can download!
(The blurb on Netscape website also compares the gzip file with I.E. -
they should actually compare the sizes of fully installed version too, and
compare with Netscape 4.x versions!)
