okay! the mouse pointer moves around and now i can logon in graphical mode
problem was with gpm ). but problems abound.
1> i used to get the TWM but after i ran
$ echo "exec startkde" > ~/.xinitrc ( picked up it from the prev mailing
list )
kde is loaded...thats it! there are absolutely no icons on the screen,
when i click on the
kde version of the start button i only get the "logout" option. it gives
me err msgs like "could not locate mime types" etc
2> the screen keeps flickering badly. ( i have the infamous sis6215c, have
used
Option "xaa_no_color_exp"
Option "sw_cursor"
Option "no_imageblt"
Option "no_bitblt"
Chipset "sis86c205" )
please help!
