Sometime ago I had posted about problems with the above card. (Both
here and on linux-laptop). Well, after lots and lots of upgrades, it
turned out that the card was faulty. :-( A test Xircom REM56G-10 card
is working fine in my laptop (both ethernet and modem). The vendor has
taken the card away and will replace it in a few days.
