Hi All,
I have got two possible gateways in our network. One is always up, through
VSAT(very Slow Access Terminal) and other through dial up to VSNL (faster
than VSAT). My networks default route is set to VSAT. When I dial up ppp,
my routing table shows both VSAT and VSNL routes as default. But it uses
VSAT route(Slow), not the VSNL route. I have to delete the VSAT route
manually to set the VSNL route as default and when ppp goes down, I have
to manually set the route again back to VSAT.
I have configured my ppp through netcfg, and in /etc/sysconfig/network-
sctipts/ifcfg-ppp0 file I have set defaultroute against pppoptions.
I am not runing routed.
I tried with ifup-ppp/ifdown-ppp but failed.
Could someone please help us to solve the problem so that routing is
automatically set.
