Hi,
I am Amiya, a BCA student from IGNOU. I had recently
installed RH6.1 from PCQUEST CD.I have some problems--
1.My Video card is SIS6326 AGP .Processor Intel
Celeron 300A.32 mb RAM,Proview Monitor.
when I start Console in X-Server, I could n't see
any thing.I read in PCQuest feb. issue that there is a
problem in SIS6326 cards & there is a solution at the
site www.suse.de/en/support/xsuse/#sis.But I could
not find the solution at that site.I am new to Linux.
Please tell me the solution.
2.I have a Panasonic KX-P1150 (9 pin Dot matrix
Printer).How to install the printer in linux.When I
give print command from gnome or kde nothing happens.
3.When I insert a movie CD Nothing happens,I think
that Linux doesn't recognises the Dos File System.But
recently i played some movie clips from Computer @
Home CD, I listened the audio but no video.The cds
work fine in Ms WINDOWS 98.
4.How to open the files created in Win98 in LINUX &
Vice Versa through a Floppy.
5.I have installed Java Development Kit from PCquest
CD.I have a little space in harddisk.How to Uninstall
it.
6.Is there any software like
DiskDifragmenter,ScanDisk,etc. as in Win98 in Linux.
7.The dialog boxes spread out from the screen area,it
is very difficult to operate.I fill a lot trouble in
Linux.Windows98 is very iteractive.
