Hi,
The October 1999 issue of Performance Computing (formerly Unix Review.
Free subscription for people in the US.) has a nice two page article titled
'Linux in India' written by V.R. Shailaja. It mentions Hughes Network
Systems' 24x7 free online Linux support (anone have more info on this?
Maybe a URL?), Compaq India's support of Linux on Alpha and x86, HCL's
Linux support, Hasrh Kumar (creator of Susha fonts) working on "India's
first Linux version in Hindi", pirated software, PCQuest and CHIP
distributing Linux CDs etc.
Unfortunately, the article did not mention LI. I wrote to the editor
asking him to print a link to LI in the next issue.

the pointless rivalry between Springfield and Shelbyville. They built a
mini-mall, so we built a bigger mini-mall. They made the world's largest
pizza, so we burnt down their city hall." -- Lisa Simpson
