[LIH] Steps installing modem in Redhat 7

Hi 

Please give the instructions as to how to configure modem in Redhat 7.
I tried using the Dialup Configuration icon available in the X-windows .
The modem was detected and I had to enter the username and password  but the
status is not  connected 
Any help would be greatly appreciated
