I have installed PHP4 and MySQL as per the instructions from the PCQuest January2001
issue. After succesfully installing PHP and MySQL I restarted apache server. After
making changes to the httpd.conf file to eliminate the error I restarted the httpd
server. Then I wrote a simple PHP script which I saved to the /home/httpd/html
directory. I opened up Netscape to point my browser to http://localhost/test.php. But
to my surprise I found that Netscape could open the file saying "Netscape was unable
to locate the server localhost". Even the index.html file in the same directory didnt
open. I checked the status of my Apache server and found thats its giving the
following error "httpd dead but subsys locked". I dont know what this means.....
PLEASE HELP ME. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW. I NEED MY APACHE SERVER TO BERUNNING VERY
URGENTLY.
