I have a RH 6.2 setup, on a P3 500, BX 440 Mboard, 64MB, doing quite good, with DHCP Server, DNS Caching server and IPChains enabled, as per the documentation frm PCQ. Now i m trying to configure SQUID as a transparent proxy, mainly to add security and to improve the performance. I have followed whatever the document said, but m still not able to get my network on the WAN. I have some queries, 1. do i still have to enable my DNS Caching server? 2. do i have to retain the IPCHAINS rules, which were used with my DNS Caching server? 3. is there any other configuration needed other than those four lines, while configuring SQUID?
