Hello,
        I don't know how , but today when I booted into Linux, I found
myself at a high resolution
graphical login prompt !!  My problem was automatically solved !  ( I had
used XF86Setup
yesterday and today was the first time I rebooted since then. Perhaps that
was the cause .)
