i used linux-fdisk to create all partition in my hdd.

my hdd now has

hda1 linux-native having old-linux RH6.2
hda2 extended (type 5)
    having hda5 linux swap
           hda6 linux-native having RH6.0
hda7 linux native for backup purpose for user files as was
discussed in recent mail.
hda3 dos having win95 at fat16
hda4 dos for backup formatted at fat32

the confusion is:
when i access the same at win-fdisk
it shows hda2 as dos extended partition and is not showing any logical
drives in this. (no logical drives created)

and hda4 it is showing as primary dos.
(hda3 was previously also shown as primary dos)

the problem is that windows does not support more than one primary dos,
so is it going to create some problem some time.

currently hda4 is not bootable, but if i make it bootable, windows keep
on making bootable primary dos partition as c drive. that will confuse
the registry.

which filesystem type i should have choosen, i think i have choosen b.
also why does it not show extended partition as non-dos with its logical
drives.

regards.
