Is it nessecary to declare a seperate partition for linux swap ?
I currently have -->
pri. part 1 - win98 (1.4 gb)
pri. part 2 - linux native (600 mb)
pri. part 3 - linux swap (40 mb)

Can I change it to -->
pri. part 1 - win98 (1.4gb)
pri. part 2 - linux native (640 mb)
and re-install linux ?

Setup does'nt seem to require this swap space (atleast it does'nt ask for
it). Will linux still run as before and maybe create a swap file on the
linux native partition ? Or is the swap partition necessary ? If yes, how
do I check if linux has recognised and is using that partition as it's
swap space ?
Thanks.

Balaji Raghavan
