Because I don't care about any of the above features - exept for may be
7. Then again, I start it and keep it up all the time - so it doesn't
really matter. I care about the scroll performance in the browser and
smooth moving of windows around. Neither of those changed for my video
card in 4.0.

For many people, the decision would depend on the video card you're using.
So make sure that you've read the release notes before you proceed.
