The Free Software Foundation (FSF) has decided to contribute to the noble cause of the free and open source software's licences proliferation ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/License_proliferation ) and following their popular announcement of version 3 of the GNU General Public License, or the GPL for short, which is incompatible with its version 2, they have now announced even more versions of that popular licence:
