Keep in mind that if you print mostly black and white (greyscale) documents
that a laser printer is MUCH cheaper when you consider the price of toner /
cartridges. Also,  inkjet printers use up the color cartridge even if you
only print only greyscale documents (why?).

In both laser and inkjet the cost of the printer is negligable, you must
include the cost of toner / cartridges.

My Canon inkjet print / fax / copy / scan will scan and copy even when the
ink cartridge is empty. But it will not print a greyscale document when the
color cartridge is empty - it uses one cartridge for all colors :-(
