Hi all, in case you are experiencing cases where the keyboard in KDE become unresponsive sometimes, then I have discovered a way to predictably reproduce this hang-up, and to avoid it. See this KDE bug here:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=306626 The solution I found was to move away ~/.kde4/share/config/kaccessrc (but you may wish to avoid it if you depend on KAccessibility's features). Apparently, a web search for "KDE keyboard unresponsive" yielded other places where people suggested disabling the accessibility features.
