Thanks for that. Seems I did it right:

/sys/module/snd_hda_intel/parameters $ cat bdl_pos_adj model single_cmd
32,32,-1,-1,-1,-1,-1,-1
6stack-digout,<NULL>,<NULL>,<NULL>,<NULL>,<NULL>,<NULL>,<NULL>
Y

So that leaves me with the quandary of #2... :(
