Indeed it looks like xml file. but on the web site they publish excel xls file and it is saved on the hd as xls.
I have open office 3.0 at home and it couldn't read it normally. The portable openoffice that I use now is 3.0.0 and it doesn't read it normally unless i use the workaround mentioned above.I will definitely check the wiki. I wonder if the new version of 3.1 does solve the problem. Yet, I do believe that at least they should create real xls so that sorting and all other calculation can be done properly.
