Hi I occasionally need to setup a throw-away "games" user for someone to play a bit with my laptop. Having a password is an annoyance in this case.
So I thought I'll use PAM to disregard the password and accept the authentication anyway: http://tzafrir.org.il/~tzafrir/add_gdmonly_user This uses pam_listfile.so for that purpose.
