Write a cheat-sheet that address these issues, mail it to all users, and link to it from the wiki homepage. Other issues will crop up as well (unforseen unforeseen problems) and they can be addressed in the same manner. Do far you've identified 2 trivial non-intuitive issues, which can be solved by providing step-by-step instructions.
