I just got a Google Ad pointing to a shop promising an unlocked iPhone
"2" (the new 3G model) and listing it as "Quad-Band":

GSM

   * Quad-band (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)

So I wonder why OpenMoko couldn't do this. Cost?
