Shay, I had the same issue, but as of this Friday, everything seems OK. I'm using pidgin with 4 different accounts, and as I said, since Friday it's working like a charm (although I don't use gtalk)
BTW: bezeq has quietly started replacing some ADSL equipment at their "merkazot" to something which is called "ADSL 2 plus", and this "2+" thing is causing major packet drops and frequent disconnections with Alcatel modems (not the USB, the Ethernet - the old ones). If thats happening to anyone here, replace your ADSL modem at Bezeq.
