The first thing is to replace the old modutils with the newer ones: - The 2.4 modutils *cannot* be used with 2.6 (totaly different kernel module loader). - The 2.6 module-init-tools provided a backward compatible fallback (at least they used to do this when I tested 2.6.0test on an old Red Hat 9). They called the older utilities if the kernel version was 2.4.x What else? who know? Seems like a great adventure with a complete reinstall at its end ;-) Cheers, -- Oron Peled Voice/Fax: +972-4-8228492 [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.actcom.co.il/~oron ICQ UIN: 16527398 "If it's not source, it's not software." -- www.gnu.org ================================================================To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
