Yes I found the same plugin wrapper. It helps but does not seem to work all the time.
I was having another problem with several 32 bit programs like ooffice (with the default install) and acroread. When I tried to run as a user authenticated thru LDAP (or NIS) I would get: GLib-WARNING **: getpwuid_r(): failed due to unknown user id After a bit of searching I suspected the problem was that the libnss_ldap.so lib was 64 bits and thus not accessible to these 32 bit programs. I then installed the 32 bit versions via: # yum install nss_ldap.i386 So far it seems to have fixed the problem.
