Latency or ping time? The standard figure for maximum usable latency for VoIP is 150ms, which is a ping time of 300ms or less. 450ms latency makes it difficult to maintain a conversation, but it is possible. Geosynchronous satellites have a 1/4 second latency, and people used them for long distance calls for years. Geoff. -- Geoffrey S.
