I have an Intel chipset Ham modem. I downloaded the latest drivers from
the Intel site and installed them with a 2.4.22 kernel. It all worked
fine.

Now for other reasons, I had to upgrade to 2.4.34. The modules no longer
install. When I install them, I get an error message that the modules
do not exist. They do compile with no error messages.

I even deleted the directory and reinstalled them from the tar file.

If I create the directory they need to go into and copy them there
by hand, a depmod -A tells me of unresolved symbols. Trying to use
the modem them crashes the system.

Any advice, besides get another modem?

Thanks,

Geoff.
