Hi Amichai,
Sounds like a *good idea* to me.

Subject: Linux Friendly ? - Musings

Hi All,

I had an idea:

I wish we had a portal - say: http://www.linuxfriendly.org.il (which is
free, BTW) - where any GNU/Linux Israeli user could go and get info about
any product / service / web site etc. that is Linux friendly.

We can also have a category or indicator to let us know how-linux-friendly
it really is, i.e.: if some areas of the web site are completely Linux
friendly - there's a "complete" indicator (green bar?) and if some other
part or area is complete - another indicator and so on.

We can use such a site to centralize the info and also to pressure the
companies to go ahead and fix what's missing (nobody likes to get a bad
grade in a publicly available site).

We could, maybe, find a way to reward companies with "all green" status -
like promotions in Israeli Linux related sites, conventions etc.

Of course I have a lot more to say about it - but I will let you comment a
bit first.... ;-)
