Nothing is additional. No GPL software can be proprietary. Period.

commercial use.
You probably didn't read what Ori wrote. Commercial != Proprietary.
To make it clear, let's use a simple example:
- A non-profit (e.g: Hamakor) develops an application.
- The application is linked against GPL code (e.g: MySQL libs).
- The non-profit distribute the application free of charge (gratis).
- If this application is proprietary (no source code), this
still violates the GPL.
To make it extra clear, let's list some common proprietary applications
which are given away free of charge: Flash-Player, Acrobat Reader,
Internet Explorer, Windows-Media-Player, Google Earth.
Non of these may link against GPL libraries and keep distribution
under the same terms.
Stop the FUD.
