Maybe 'dropped' is not the right term for 'Hula'. It was, er, debased

It's not like Hula was moving anywhere, unless by "moving" you mean
something like Mozilla's "moving" when it took 5 years to get
something people will use.

When Hula was announced, I was pretty excited about the possibility of
something developed to replace venerable setups made of various mail
daemons, POP daemons, IMAP daemons, web-admins, web-mails,
web-groupware and database schemes of all sorts and forms (LDAP?
MySQL? With a custom patch, sir?). Now, nearly two years later, I lost
hope that salvation will come out of Hula -- at least not the way it
was developed till now (under Novell's leadership). Perhaps Novell
giving it up (sort of like AOL gave up Mozilla) will be a welcomed
wind of change.
