I guess you could get it from your Windows partition (if you have
one). Also, there is a package of Win32 codecs for mplayer. I set it
up years ago, and I can play movies from Ynet. Unfortunately, I am
away from my machine, so can tell you exactly how it was done. You
can find more info in mplayer FAQ.

Andre.

Hello,

Ynet seem to try to address some of Firefox users needs by reffering
to Firefox in their embedded video frames, e.g. I went into their
article at http://www.ynet.co.il/articles/0,7340,L-3268358,00.html
using Firefox on RHEL 4 and got a message explaining why I failed to
watch their video content embedded in the page (because my browser is
other than IE or FF 1.5 with ActiveX-plugin) and offer a link to
download and watch the video externally.

The link is
http://players.mediazone.co.il/media/authors/34/playlists/1706/1706_static.asx
and when I press it it downloads but gxine fails. I then tried to
re-play the file both with gxine and mplayer and get the following
errors (from mplayer):

Win32 LoadLibrary failed to load: avisynth.dll,
/usr/lib/win32/avisynth.dll, /usr/local/lib/win32/avisynth.dll

Looking for this thing on the net doesn't reveal anything except for
other's questions about this error and replies which don't look
relevant to me (something to do with access to DVD and CD devices). I
found a project site called "avisynth.org" but it doesn't seem to be
it.

Does anyone know where can I get this DLL?

I can provide the 1706_static.asx file if someone needs it (44 lines, 1.5Kb).

Thanks,
