Hi, I have a USB external DVD burner. It works fine with Fedora core 5 on a computer with onboard USB 2.0 ports.
I have one computer with USB 1 ports on the motherboard. It works fine, again with FC5 at about 1/5 the speed. I have two different VIA chipset USB 2.0 PCI cards that don't work properly under Linux. They work fine under Windows with the same burner at full speed. Under Linux, they seem to work fine to burn, but the data is corrupted. Can anyone recommend a local source of USB 2.0 PCI cards that work properly under Linux (X86)? Thanks, Geoff. -- Geoffrey S.
