[The following is tested on Debian Sarge, YMMV] It's fine for the initial setup. However the cups web interface is a pain to use for simple modifications in the printer config. For instance, if you got something a bit wrong in the URL, you'll have to go through all the process again. For starters, take a look at /etc/cups/printers.conf . The format is quite straight-forward. If you'll need a different PPD file for the printer, copy it to /etc/cups/ppd/<printer-name>.ppd . The name of the printer is the one from the '<Printer>'/'<DefaultPrinter>' tag. Don't forget /etc/init.d/cupsys reload , or something similar. ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
