Now that's evil to break it like that. Am I right to summarize it to specific incompatibility of version 3.81rc1 and kbuild script and that it is the script that is about to be changed, not the make? I am concerned about the possibility to eventually pulling a brand new make into the system while still having an old kernel source tree.
