Nokia 770 Internet Tablet - In Israel?

Hi all,

Any of you got the chance to check this cool gadget?

I want to buy it - but can't. It is n't available outside the US or Europe. Eurocom's Customer Service Dept. say they won't market it ever in Israel due to the fact it is NOT a cellular phone. The US and UK sites won't accept international credit cards or addresses outside the respective coutries...
I can't  even fill out a contact form - they expect a local phone # and carrier - it's  mandatory...

How can I get my hands on one of these?  I have a friend in London - but he can't charge his credit card for 245 BP...
Will it even work in Israel once (and if) I get it(althogh, I don't see a reason it won't)?
