I don't think Linux in Israel is ready for promotion to end-users. We need to attract more developers to fix the problems which are blockers[1] for wide adoptions in Israel, or otherwise firing Linux into the unsuspecting audience would quadruple support requests and amount to lots of bad press. There are more effective channels to attract developers than through colorful banners on mainstream portals, e.g. by addressing CS students.
