Hi Everyone,
I have been looking for a good method of moving all our users to the SBOX
based checkpoint VPN. Some of our users have Linux 2.6 based kernel which
does not work with the Checkpoint client (which is up to RH7.3 kernel 2.4).

I have found that FreeSwan can in theory connect to Checkpoint VPN's but
states in the manual that 2.6 kernel has limitations such as not being able
to co-exist with another IPsec tunnel such as pptp, this rules out the use
of a Linux box which is also connected to ADSL/Cable dialup and most the
users here have that scenario.

I thought of other creative solutions such as setting up an OS partition
within Linux that would allow connecting or something like VMware with
Windows but I prefer that to be a last option.

Has anyone found a successful way to connect 2.6 based Linux boxes to a
Checkpoint VPN?

Thanks in Advance,
-David
