(re-posting to list) I think DRBD (http://www.drbd.org/) should able to do that at the block device level. I searched for such solution myself a few years ago (search for a thread named "Live website mirroring" or something similar in the archive) but meanwhile settled for hourly rsync job and never really tested DRBD. Another solution may be putting the data in a database with replication support, if possible in your environment, especially if it really constantly changes.
