Thanks for the reply. The project is basically about making a program to display the daf, from a text file that includes the text and the display data (in apposed to an image). There were thoughts about using CSS, but i am don't think it covers what the program needs (if you think it can, please tell me).
The project isn't supposed to be used for different displays of the daf such as coloring, it is only for displaying the daf, it, but it will probably be easy to add stuff later if someone wants. I agree too that Linux doesn't have enough development in this area, and I would like to change that of course.
