I grepped also for the string "1255" at those directories, but of no avail. So it seems that evolution takes its list of encodings from another place. I looked in /usr/lib/evolution and /usr/share/evolution and in both cases I failed to find any relevant clue. Maybe those encodings are <shudder>hardwired</shudder> in library files (some of which matched when I grepped for "8859" and for "1255")? Another suggestion, please?
