Hi Yuval,

First, you might want to take a look here:
http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/linux/ - you'll find most of
the info and drivers for Linux there.

I don't know about Debian (I personally prefer Fedora & CentOS 4), but
most other distributions should support most of the chip's features.
With debian, you might need to configure some stuff manually.

Some issues:

* If you plan to use Frame Buffer - you'll might have some problems,
specially when it comes to accelerations.
* Sound - use ALSA if you really want to use all the sound features.
i810_audio driver in OSS sucks.
