Are you people aware of smssend (http://zekiller.skytech.org/smssend_menu_en.html)? (It might be a very slow site so be patient with it). I've never used it but it gives an impression of a generalized international version of sendsms. There are also a few front-end projects for it on FreshMeat. I sent Nadav a question about it a few weeks ago but he never got back to me about this.
