I checked and all the icon types listed (including printer) are selected. In fact, just to make sure the tab works correctly, I unselected the DVD icons and, as expected, my DVD burner and reader disappeared. Re-selecting them caused them to return to the desktop. BTW - is it possible that there's some connection to the fact that this is a USB printer? Although, if I answer my own question, I can say that my USB scanner does appear on the desktop. -- Shlomo Solomon http://the-solomons.net Sent by KMail 1.7.1 (KDE 3.2.3) on LINUX Mandrake 10.1 ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
