There are patches from ooo-build to include Xft support in OpenOffice. I don't know if they are applied to your copy of OpenOffice. If they are, you should be able to use Culmus, or just about any set of decent Hebrew fonts. Older bitmap fonts will probably not work well. On Fedora there is a package for Culmus fonts. It is called fonts-hebrew or culmus or something similar.
